DAVID THOMSON has written about film for The Guardian, The Independent, The New York Times, The New Republic, among others. He is the author of more than thirty books on film, including Showman: The Life of David O. Selznick (1993), The New Biographical Dictionary of Film (2004), The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder (2009), and most recently, Television: A Biography (October 2016).
