Got something to say? Established group of dedicated writers meets every two weeks on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Authors are at various stages of their careers in both fiction and non-fiction, although most are published.

Work is exchanged ahead of time via e-mail (usually a chapter, short story or essay) and then feedback is given at the session with line edits handed over to the author to take home. The atmosphere is collegial and only constructive feedback is allowed. Authors also share with each other their insight about the publishing process and industry.

One of our authors is on his book tour this summer. Another just sold her debut novel. We’re looking for our next stars.

Meetings are held in private homes, most located in The Castro area. In order to make the process as fulfilling as possible, we tend to keep the size of the group to about eight active members at any given time. If interested, drop a note to vobite@aol.com and tell us about your work.
