March 21, 8pm and March 22, 4pm
Renowned as one of the most beautiful great choral works, Maurice Durufle's "Requiem" brings the peaceful balance of Gregorian chant into delicate modern harmonies. It is a work that touches listeners and singers deeply. The Requiem is performed with strings, harp and organ. The concert finishes with a few shorter pieces about light including Ola Gjeilo's "Luminous Night of the Soul", Morten Lauridsen's "Sure on this Shining Night" and Moses Hogan's arrangement of "This Little Light of Mine".
Performed with Chamber Orchestra and featuring Mezzo-Soprano Kindra Scharich and Baritone Phillip Harris
