A discussion and reading with Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn on their new book

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Oshman Family JCC presents Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn in a reading and discussion of their newest novel A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity. This work is a galvanizing, inspirational call to action, but it is even bigger in scale. It is a tour of philanthropic innovators across the U.S. and around the world who are using research, evidence-based strategies, and brilliant ideas of their own to fight some of the twenty-first century’s most intractable problems: poor early-childhood education, sex trafficking, inner-city violence, poverty and malnutrition, homelessness, and many others. With scrupulous research and on-the-ground reporting, Kristof and WuDunn assay the art and science of giving and advocate for a new approach that emphasizes charitable impact.
