A Day To Remember have spent most of 2014 touring and promoting their self-released fifth studio album, Common Courtesy. An amalgam of metalcore and anthemic pop-punk Common Courtesy touches upon themes like home and family, and was recorded in vocalist Jeremy McKinnon's home studio. Shifting between genres, McKinnon weaves personal anecdotes, such as learning to play guitar and imploring his mother to watch him practice. A Day To Remember will draw from Common Courtesy and the rest of their decade-spanning catalog of songs when they play the SJSU Event Center on Sep 26 along with the progressive post-hardcore sounds of Chiodos and metalcore of British band Bring Me The Horizon.
