8th Annual Peace & Justice Awards Dinner

at Bortin Hall, Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church (see times)
Winners include Betty Reid Soskin, an anti-racism educator and political activist who will receive the Justice Advocate of the Year Award. Soskin is the oldest employee (94 years) of the National Park Service, serving the public at the Rosie the Riveter site in Richmond.

Receiving the Peace Advocate of the Year Award is Cindy Sheehan, aka "Peace Mom". In 2005 Sheehan was one of the founders of Gold Star Families for Peace.

The public is invited to the awards dinner which also includes a silent auction, raffle, live music and more!
