This August, Mendocino County Museum transforms into a fantastical environment in which kinetic energy reigns supreme! The 4th Annual Willits Kinetic Carnivale returns with amazing Steampunk costumes and art, music, circus acts with Circus Maximus, fire performances, kinetic vehicles, kids’ games and crafts, and delicious food and drink! Vintage exhibits include amazing collections of cameras and stopwatches, and the ever popular Victorian Sweat Shop featuring over a dozen rare sewing machines. Classes & demonstrations offered in fencing, swing dancing, weaving, mosaicking, and more. For those 13 and up, Saturday evening’s Grand Ball will enchant with Tesla coils, aerialists, flaming motorcycles and music by Diego's Umbrella, El Radio Fantastique, and The Crux.
The Carnivale is open from 10am-7pm on Saturday, with the Grand Ball starting at 7pm, and 10am-5pm on Sunday. Admission is $10 for Adults; $5 for Seniors and Students ages 13-18; Kids 12 & Under are Free.
