BATS Improv, the largest and longest-running Improv Theatre and school in Northern California will kick summertime into high gear with their annual Summer Improv Festival. Every weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) in August, the BATS Main Stage Company Players take the stage with a different show displaying their hilarious, award-winning brand of improvised theatre with completely improvised musicals, stage plays and more. Each night will have a special Q&A with the cast after each show.

BATS takes on their rivals from LA in the Annual SF vs. LA Theatresports Grudge Match.
Saturday, August 6 – SF + LA Spontaneous Broadway
BATS joins forces with their friends from LA for a one-night-only improvised musical extravaganza.

BATS talented cast of improvisers takes their inspiration from photographs provided by the audience.
Friday & Saturday, August 19-20 – Always Be Closing: Improvised David Mamet Stage Play
BATS takes on the distinct style and themes of the great American playwright David Mamet in this all-new, completely improvised stage play.
Friday and Saturday, August 26-27 – The Bechdel Test: Women in Improv
New cinematic long form show. BATS looks to pass the Bechdel Test by challenging the notion that stories starring women need to be about "women's issues."
