Eat Drink SF, the annual foodie cornucopia, is upon us again. Held on August 20-23 at Fort Mason, the tasty festival offers workshops, tastings and events all over town. It’s easy to get lost in the program, but make sure you make it to the following events, and FOMO won’t be an issue.

Sprinkle, Sizzle, Sip: Grilled Meats & Beer: Saturday, August 22 @12PM
Who can resist an event with such a lively name? The class, led by Marc Stroobrandt, Beer Sommelier, and John Beaver, owner of Oaktown Spice Shop, taps into the all-American passion of grilling, and teaches how to pair spices, meats and beer to legendary results. The class is accompanied by Stella Artois beers and a small spice gift will send you home happy and ready to surprise friends. $30, buy tickets

Ultimate Brunch Party at Foreign Cinema: Sunday, August 23 @11AM
The festival smartly tie itself to the iconic spot for a decent brunch. Pizzetas, arancini, a salumi station, hand pulled mozzarella and other treats will go down nicely with Aperol Spritz and the affogato will provide a sweet finish. $85, buy tickets

Friday Evening Grand Tasting: Friday, August 21 @7:15PM
Grand tasting events are Eat Drink’s cream of the crop, and of all of them, this one is the best bet. Aaxte, Absinthe, Belga, Delfina, Dirty Habit, Flour+Water, and many more local gems will offer yummy bites, accompanied by cocktails and an intriguing ‘cheese cave’. Taco Knockdown: Thursday, August 20 @6:30PM
Imagine top restaurant chefs competing in a taco competition; this is not a dream, but a reality. Bacon Bacon, Coqueta, The Ramen Bar, Trick Dog, and 13 more restaurants will suggest their own creative spin on the ultimate summer food, a knowledgeable panel will judge, and guests will taste all of them.
