Sunrise Yacht Party This Friday at Pier 3

Recurring morning dance party and technology unplug event Daybreaker returns to San Francisco this Friday, May 1 on a yacht at Pier 3 along the Embarcadero.

In collaboration with Hornblower Cruises & Events, Daybreaker will take sunrise journey aboard the California Hornblower ship through the San Francisco Bay while resident Pink Mammoth DJ’s Jonathan Will, Gravity, and Zach Walker lay down a trifecta of boat-pumping beats. Attendees can get their day started with a bang before they go about their workdays.

Boarding the boat begins at 6:15am, with pre-dance sun salutations starting at 6:30am in the Captain’s Lounge with yogini and mystic-scientist Michelle Nayeli Bouvier until 7:30am. The boat casts-off at 7:30am sharp, which is when the dancing begins. The boat returns to dock at 9am, although the dancing continues until 9:30am. Get your tickets here.

Daybreaker originally started in New York and has since expanded to other cities. An eclectic range of venues have hosted the bi-monthly events in San Francisco, from Yerba Buena Center for the Arts to Audio nightclub in SoMA. “People live so much of their lives through a small glowing screen … one of the big ideas of Daybreaker is to be here now, be present, be a human, connect with your fellow humans,” says founder Matthew Brimer.
