Well, that was quick. Following a brief hiatus, San Francisco dance fusion collective Afrolicious has announced the return of its weekly residency every Thursday at the Mission’s Elbo Room starting February 5.

In June of last year, Afrolicious organizers ended their seven-year run of Thursday club nights at the Elbo Room with a two-night anniversary celebration. However, due to consistent demand and a desire to share more music with the community, the funk band decided to bring back its residency.

Each weekly party starts at 9:30pm with a cost of $5 if entering before 10:30pm and $7 after.

Aside from the residency, Afrolicious is also performing at the Berkeley Underground on January 30 and The Chapel on January 31.
