Billy Joel to Return to San Francisco for AT&T Park Concert
Billy Joel announced his first headline performance in San Francisco in more than 40 years, at AT&T Park on September 5, will be his only concert in California this year.
Joel, a six-time Grammy Award winner and the sixth best selling artist in the United States with more than 100 million records sold worldwide, is also one of very few rock or pop artists with Top 10 hits in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The New York native, who announced the San Francisco concert with Another Planet Entertainment today, has performed in other Bay Area cities in recent years, but this will be Joel’s AT&T Park debut. Bonnaroo recently announced him as a headliner for this year’s festival, along with rapper Kendrick Lamar, electronic acts deadmau5 and Bassnectar, plus Led Zeppelin lead vocalist Robert Plant and folk group Mumford & Sons.
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 30 at 10am, but American Express Card Members can purchase pre-sale beginning January 26 at 10am through January 29 at 10pm.
