Wednesday, Nov 26th: DJ Dan + Donald Glaude at Temple
Olympia, Wash., based DJ Dan is a staple of the West Coast House scene. With renowned tracks like “Needle Damage,” and remixes for everyone from Depeche Mode to Duck Sauce, he successfully blends breakbeat, house, dub and techno beats. He is joined by another Washington local and frequent collaborator Donald Glaude.
Thursday, Nov 27th: Cream of Beat at Mezzanine
Now a Thanksgiving tradition at Mezzanine, Cream of Beat brings veteran Bay Area DJs together with Mind Motion, Ivan and Dark Monkey, plus a special appearance by Oakland rap legend Too Short. We wouldn’t be shocked if more surprises are in store, as well.
Thursday, Nov 27th: Cosmic Gate at Ruby Skye
This German duo is most known for the 2011 electro-trance single, ‘’Wake Your Mind.” Following rave receptions and a series of sold out “Wake Your Mind” gigs, they launched Wake Your Mind Records and started a movement with the #WYM tag. It’s now widely adopted as the abbreviation-of-choice for those wishing to display a more flexible, less tribal outlook for electronic music.
Friday, Nov 28th: DJ Lady Sha at Harlot
Becoming the first female to win the annual Winter Music Conference DJ Spin-off, DJ Lady Sha is known for spinning mashups of hip-hop, pop and house music to create a unique dance floor experience. The Los Angeles based DJ tours all over California, New York and recently returned from Tanzania and Africa.
Friday, Nov 28th: Alex Gaudino at Vessel
Italy DJ Alex Guadino has had success as a crossover DJ and A&R, which snagged him a nomination as best European A&R at the European Music Awards in 2000. Since then the veteran DJ has had No. 1 singles, such as “Destination Calabria,” “Watch Out” and “I’m In Love.” He blends disco house sounds to create his own Euro-house/dance style.
Saturday, Nov 29th: Minnesota at Mezzanine
Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, this NorCal DJ and producer has with acts such as STS9, Big Gigantic, Paper Diamond and Protohype. The young DJ rose quickly after Bassnectar praised his skills by making him “an essential in my sets” with the track “Push It.” Minnesota’s aesthetic shows a more melodic side of dubstep and EDM.
