Oscar Nominated Short Films Program Comes To San Francisco

Beginning on January 31 Landmark’s Embarcadero Center Cinema will be screening all short films nomimated for 2014’s Academy Awards. Split into three programs — live action, animated, and documentary — the event is being presented by ShortHD, the Short Movie Channel, in conjunction with Magnolia Pictures. Both the live action and animated programs begin screening January 31 at the Embarcadero Cinema, as well as Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley. The documentary short film program begins screening at Opera Plaza Cinemas on February 7.

Running for it’s 9th year, the Live Action program will be hosted by past Oscar winners. For those interested in short films, or those curious to see these Oscar nominees, this may be the only chance to catch them on the big screen.
