There’s a lot of diversity in this week’s local movie releases, so the choices are especially stark. But two films won’t steer movie-goers wrong: The World’s End is a hilarious finish to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz; whereas Cutie and the Boxer captures two artists’ relationship over the years, in love, struggle, disappointment and humor. Two other films in wide release stand out as well… Blackfish serves as an indictment against Sea World and Killer Wale captivity as a whole; while Ain’t Them Bodies Saints is a seriously messed up, intense, love story that Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara fans will appreciate.
