Free Events This Weekend

Admission is free for the biggest street food party of the year, the San Francisco’s Street Food Festival, complete with a Night Market that will start the festivities with international cuisine. Chinatown hosts a ping pong tournament at Portsmouth Square and the Festival of the Chariots returns to Golden Gate Park. Music fans can exchange tunes and find new music with a mixtape party in the Mission and the Presidio welcomes Family Day Kite Festival.

FRIDAY

Street Food Night Market
Street Food Festival festivities start Friday night on Alamany with a Night Market featuring international cuisine for sale. Admission is free.

SATURDAY

Street Food Festival
One of San Francisco’s biggest food parties arrives in the Mission with vendors taking over several blocks with street eats and more. Admission is free.

Family Day Kite Festival
Family Day Kite Festival hosts Kite makers and flyers, contests and games, food trucks and a fire truck parade.

SUNDAY

Chinatown Ping Pong Tournament
Table tennis fans head to Chinatown to show off their paddle work with a ping pong tournament at Portsmouth Square.

Mixtape Party
San Francisco’s Mixtape Society hosts a themed party for fans to trade their latest mixes.

Festival of the Chariots
The Festival of the Chariots, known throughout India as the “Ratha Yatra” festival, has been performed for thousands of years in Puri, India and today it is celebrated in all major cities through out the world.
