Northern Nights Music Festival Brings EDM Party to Humboldt

Northern Nights, a new outdoor music festival on the boarder of Humboldt and Mendocino makes it’s debut in July with electronic heavyweights Gladkill, Minnesota and Sugarpill and several more acts.

Organizers say the three-day festival, July 19 through Sunday July 21, will be a celebration of music, art, food and local culture at Cook’s Valley campground near Richardson Grove State Park. Other noteworthy music acts on the lineup include Polish Ambassador from Oakland, San Francisco producer Kastle, moombahton master Sabo and Oakland Latin hip hop fusion Los Rakas.

The location, formerly a camping area for Reggae on the River, also has plenty of natural beauty, with swimming holes on the Eel River, open grass areas and and a touring redwood grove nearby.

In addition to music, daily yoga will be offered with a variety of arts and crafts and screen printing. Eye candy will be supplied by regional visual art talents, aerial and fire dancing, and, of course, the crowd enjoying the mountain heat.
