San Francisco Giants Launch New Wines

The San Francisco Giants success on the field has led to a lot of opportunities off the field. That now includes the wine business as the team has partnered with Mumm Napa to create two new sparkling wines.

The Championship Brut is a limited edition release, with only 2,012 bottles created (to commemorate the Giants 2012 World Series). The prestige cuvée (top bottling) comes from specially selected lots from the winery’s vineyards in Napa Valley. Each bottle costs $125.

The Giants Brut Prestige ($27) is more widely available and is a special bottling of Mumm Napa’s Brut Prestige. It’s also an ode to last year’s championship season as the team celebrated each series win with the wine, which has become the official sparkling wine of the team.

The wines are available at AT&T Park, select restaurants, bars and retailers and can also be purchased online. Perks of being a Major Leaguer – every Giants player will receive a bottle of the Championship Brut with a one-of-a-kind etched label featuring their number and name.

The sparkling wines are licensed by Wine by Design, the official wine licensee for Major League Baseball Properties.

  1. […] The Giants seem to have their mitts in everything these days, so really, poppin’ bottles is old hat by now. That said — the beloved team partnered with Mumm Napa to create two very special, very limited-edition bottles of bubbly. Stock up now, because we’ll be celebrating another ballpark win soon.
