Coachella 2013 Rumors Abound

The Coachella 2013 lineup should arrive any day now, but there are plenty of rumors circling around the impending announcement.

Bare in mind there are a lot of bad leads and all of the speculation could prove false. Rumors are circulating that the Rolling Stones will be headlining (thanks to a premature email courtesy of event ticket site Songkick). The band has played it down, but it makes sense considering recent reunion shows on the East Coast. Daft Punk, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and Phoenix are also all but confirmed, according to rumors published on Huffington Post and other sites.

Music blog Consequences of Sound lists 10 “confirmed” acts—Alex Clare, Bat For Lashes, Bingo Players, Dirtybird players, Father John Misty, Hardwell, Paul Kalbrenner, Kill the Noise, Rodriguez and The Underachieversr—and a list of acts likely to appear: Aesop Rock (with Murs), Alt-J, Beach House, Grimes, Local Natives, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sigur Ros, Sky Ferreira, Stars, Superhumanoids, Tegan & Sara, Two Door Cinema Club, Wild Belle, and Yeasayer.

A mock flyer features acts with potential featured a mock flyer circulating the Web include Deadmau5, Missy Elliot, Passion Pit, D’Angelo, The Magnetic Fields, Dirty Projectors, the Prodigy, Cat Power, Lana Del Rey, Glitch Mob, the XX, Grizzly Bear, Joanna Newsome, Of Monsters and Men and James Blake.

The one fact that we can confirm: Coachella 2013 will again be held for two weekends, the first from April 12-14 and the second from April 19-21.
