5 Spots For Feast of the Seven Fishes in SF

Feast of the Seven Fishes is an Italian Christmas celebration with meals of fish and other seafood. Here are a few spots to celebrate in San Francisco.

A16 – Executive Chef Christopher Thompson is offering five courses, with menu items such as Swordfish Carpaccio with castelfranco, olio nuovo and roasted sweet peppers and Dungeness Crab with fennel, pine nuts, water cress and grapefruit. The Christmas Eve feast is priced at $75 per person with an optional $60 wine pairing. A16 is located at 2355 Chestnut Street.

Farina – Farina will be celebrating Feast of the Seven Fishes with a menu including Mediterranean Octopus, Calamari, Merluzzo, Snapper and more. Farina is located at 3560 18th Street in San Francisco.

Incanto – What the restaurant is terming a time to celebrate family and friends, Incanto is offering a light seafood menu. Preliminary items (subject to change) include Pesce saltato of trout, tombo and Arctic char, Pasta alla chitarra al nero with local squid and Cacciucco alla Livornese (Tuscan Seafood Stew). The four-course menu is $55, excluding beverages, service and tax. Incanto is located at 1550 Church Street.

Palio d’Asti – The Financial District mainstay is offering a five-course menu for $75 on Christmas Eve. Guests will be able to chooses one of two dishes in each course, with items such as Carpaccio di Pescespada, Vongole Oreganate, Risotto alla Mt. Etna and Baccala Aqua Pazza. Palio d’Asti is located at 640 Sacramento Street.

Salumeria – While flour + water and Central Kitchen will both be offering a la carte and tasting menus on Christmas Eve, Chef Thomas McNaughton will be serving an eight-course dinner with wine pairings at Salumeria. Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $195. Salumeria is located at 3000 20th Street.
