Thanksgiving Weekend Party Preview: Dancing Turkey Edition

Happy Thanksgiving, or more like happy four-days-off-from-work. While some of us enjoy gorging on food for 96 straight hours, it would seem more sensible to find some way to burn off some of those calories. Luckily for you, San Francisco is full of parties this weekend, so reunite with your friends and family, and spend a night out dancing merrily.

Wednesday:

Sloane: Tonight features some of the best local DJs around showing their craft, including Miles Medina, Claaksaarb, Chris Larot, and more. The best part is that it’s free, so RSVP at the Sloane link. With a mix of these DJs, you”ll probably hear a mix of house, hip-hop, and top 40.

Public Works: Eats Everything, most recently signed to our favorite local label Dirtybird, is here for a night of booty-shaking techno and bass-laden bombs. With him will be Ryan Crosson, Bill Patrick, and some local DJs warming things up. Check out this track from Eats Everything. Party is $10 before 11pm, $20 after.

Thursday:

Beauty Bar: If you’re not rolling around the floor contemplating never eating again, make your way down to Beauty Bar for some throwbacks and sexy R&B music. DJs in tow will be DJ Bo and Cellus. Party is free.

Friday:

DNA Lounge: Party up or down with Larry Tee and Brooke Candy. There’s also over 20+  other people on the line-up, so this is a good option if you are with a bunch of people with different tastes in music. I however, like the sounds of Larry Tee, the legendary UK. Check it out.

Wish: If you’re looking for something a little low-key, a good option is always Wish Bar and Lounge. This month will feature DJ is Jimmy B. (Disco Knights/Vox) playing along side rotating residents Paul Tobias, Michael May & Rusty.

Saturday:

1192 Folsom: If you’re still alive and kickin today, the Secret Society One-year Anniversary party is a good place to check out. Line-up includes Free the Robots, Citizen Ten, Mophono (DJ Centipede), and more. FREE champagne at midnight, FREE mixes, and FREE the robots! So much free! Well not really, it’s $5 before 10:30pm.

Public Works: Let’s play house, at the club with an actual treehouse. Headlining the night are the Tiefschwarz brothers in a rare appearance. This German deep-house duo really needs no hype, as they have been moving dance floors for over twenty years. Also playing are Rooz, Bo, and Sunshine Jones and Jeno in the upstairs loft. The party is $15 before 11pm and $20 after, but if you’re feeling frugal, they have an open vodka bar from 10pm to 10:30pm. Drink your worth in vodka!

Find a party, dance off the Turkey calories, and have some fun.
