Beginning October 24 through October 30, the San Francisco Film Society will presents French Cinema Now exclusively at the Landmark’s Embarcadero Center Cinema.

Celebrating the present in French cinema, this small festival series includes films amongst a wide array of genres. Opening the series is Camille Rewinds features a new twist on Francis Ford Coppola’s ’80’s fantasy Peggy Sue Got Married when the middle-aged Camille wakes up in the ’80’s, and a second chance at adolescence. Following the opening night screening will be the opening night party and reception at Credo.

With ten films in all, the series will, hopefully, expose newcomers and seasoned film veterans alike to what is currently brewing in the French film industry. Other highlights this year include Switzerland’s official entry into the Oscars (but, yes, still in French) Sister, the US premiere of A World Without Women and Louis Delluc Prize Winner Donoma. All films will screen in downtown San Francisco at Landmark’s Embarcadero Cinema and special filmmaker guests are expected to be in attendance.
