Paul Kalkbrenner is one of Germany’s best known tech-house acts who solidified his career with his early releases on Ellen Allien’s Bpitch Control Records and his appearance as the main character in the 2008 techno film, Berlin Calling.

His eighth album, Guten Tag, is slated for release this November just after his upcoming tour with Sonar. The folks behind the Barcelona-based electronic music and new media art festival grabbed a handful of talent to send across North America as Sonar on Tour from October 31 to November 10.

You can catch Paul Kalkbrenner as part of the diverse roster for Sonar on Tour at Oakland’s Fox Theater Friday, November 9, along with Die Antwoord, Azari & III, Seth Troxler, and Nic Fanciulli.
