Central Kitchen Begins Winemaker Series

Central Kitchen, the offshoot from the team behind flour + water, has had a successful year so far after opening in May. Now, Chef Thomas McNaughton is expanding the horizons of the restaurant with a series of winemaker dinners.

Local winemakers will be featured at each intimate dinner. There are only 12 spaces open for each seating (one at 6:00 p.m. and the other at 9:00 p.m.). The winemakers/experts will be on hand to offer different varietals , with a unique menu created by McNaughton to pair with the wines being offered.

Up first, on Wednesday, October 3 will be Kevin Wardell, owner of Bergamot Alley in Healdsburg. Wardell is the former wine director at flour + water. The wine bar offers a unique look at wines, both old and new.

On Wednesday, October 24, John Lancaster and Rob Perkins of Skylark Wine Company will be paying a visit. They will be followed by Mick Unti of Unti Vineyards on November 28. And the finale will include Chrystal and Steve Clifton of Palmina on December 19.

Reservations are $200 per person, exclusive of tax but inclusive of gratuity. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at (415) 826-7005 or by emailing at [email protected].

Central Kitchen is located at 3000 20th Street.
