SoMa Grand Opening: 1058 Hoagie
Adam Mesnick’s second SoMa sandwich shop opens today, Monday, September 17, 2012, at 180 7th Street (between Howard and Natoma streets). Replacing Maximo’s Internet Cafe, next to Celia’s In and Out Cleaners.
Mesnick’s first SoMa sandwich venture, Deli Board has earned well deserved praises for delectable hot deli style sandwiches. Now he hopes that customers will also become raving fans of his new venture serving Philadelphia style cold Italian sandwiches. 1058 Hoagie is named for the warehouse address where his food business first got started in 2009.
The shop is open weekdays from 11 am to 3 pm. The menu features 11 signature sandwiches in 7″ or 10″ custom made soft rolls (plain or sesame), “make your own” sandwiches (choice of 1 meat and 1 cheese + fixings), plus daily soups and salads.
Signature Sandwiches Menu (7″ or 10″):
#1. Genoa salami, mortadella, capicola, provolone, and cherry peppers – $8/$11.
#2. Genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone, spicy olive salad, and half dried cherry tomato – $8/$11.
#3. Dried beef salami (or Kosher beef salami), muenster cheese, Cleveland brown mustard, and shum spread (garlic) – $7/$10.
#4. Fresh mozzarella, half dried cherry tomato, artichoke heart, spicy olive salad, and shum spread (garlic) – $7/$10.
#5. House made turkey, bacon cream cheese, avocado, sprouts, and jalapeno spread – $8/$11.
#6. House made roast beef, provolone, pepperoncini, and horsey sauce (horseradish) – $7/$10.
#7. Kurobuta ham, mortadella, capicola, provolone, shum spread (garlic), and cherry peppers – $8/$11.

#9. Albacore tuna salad, white american cheese, sprouts, and half dried cherry tomato – $7/$10.
