Not feeling up for heading out to a restaurant on the weekend? Well, the team behind flour + water is aiming to help out home cooks in the Bay Area.
They have launched “The Weekend Pasta Project,” limited edition, fresh pasta kits sold at salumeria on Saturdays and Sundays.
The kits, $18 each, contain pasta, freshly made in flour + water’s dough room, fresh pasta sauce and a recipe card from executive chef Thomas McNaughton. There is also a suggested wine pairing, which will be available for purchase at salumeria.
The team offers a new sauce and pasta each weekend (for example, this weekend is tagliarini w/ chantrelles, corn, peppers and nepitella and a chocolate budino for dessert).
The kits will be sold starting at 10:00 a.m. each day (one hour after salumeria opens).
Salumeria is located at 3000 20th Street and is open from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
