Sake Pairing Dinner at Izakaya Yuzuki

There are wine pairing dinners and beer tasting dinners – now Izakaya Yuzuki in the Mission District is offering a sake pairing dinner.

Sake sommelier Yoshihiro Sako and owner Yuko Hayashi have picked four different sakes to be paired with four small dishes from chef Takashi Saito. Izakaya Yuzuki has one of the better sake lists in San Francisco and both Yoshi and Yuko know their sake, inside and out. In fact, Yoshi is continuing his monthly sake classes at Izakaya Yuzuki and those interested can soon expect intermediate classes as well. RSVP for either the sake pairing dinner (which is being held on Monday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m.) or any future sake classes at [email protected].

The restaurant has also started up a daily happy hour from 4:00-5:30. Guests can choose two of four Otsumami (small bite appetizers) along with two glasses of sake for $9.

Starting on September 1, the restaurant is offering new business hours as well. It will be open on Monday, and Wednesday-Saturday from 5:30-10:30 and on Sunday from 4:30-9:30. The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays.

Izakaya Yuzuki is located at 598 Guerrero Street
