Grape to Glass – A Celebration of Russian River Valley Winegrowers

Known for being an area producing some of the best boutique wines, the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County is celebrating the wine and people that make them with the 17th Annual Grape to Glass Pre-Harvest Party on Saturday, August 18.

Grape to Glass features more than 75 wineries, restaurants, artists and vendors, including many of the best producers in the region. Along with getting to taste wine from the area, there is also a BBQ dinner, live and silent auction, a farmer’s market and live music throughout the evening.

The party kicks off at 4:00 p.m. with a tasting reception and many of the best local restaurants, caterers and food purveyors sharing their family heirloom recipes.  Following the reception will be a barbecue dinner prepared by Larry Vito of Smokehouse Bistro with a number of summertime BBQ favorites (vegetarians don’t fret, there will be options for you as well).

The auction packages are truly unique with a mix of food, wine and fun. Included are a behind-the-scenes look into the filing of Guy Fieri’s “Guy’s Big Bite,” weekend hotel stays and getaways, private large and small dinners at some of Russian River Valley’s best restaurants and adventures at several area wineries.

Several wineries have also planned special events for Grape to Glass weekend including free or discounted tastings and discounted bottles for purchase.

The 17th Annual Grape to Glass Pre-Harvest Party will be held on Saturday, August 18 at Richard’s Grove & Saralee’s Vineyard (3575 Slusser Road, Windsor). Tickets can be purchased here.
