SOMA Bad Art Gallery Presented by SF Indie Fest Opens

While there’s arguably an exhausting amount of bad post-modern art continuing to crop up in SOMA art galleries, SF Indie Fest is hosting a new event to recognize what they deem to be good local art.

Up first is the work of artist Vincent Kukua, who will present his drawings and comics, many of his illustrations inspired by DC comic book characters and street art.

Most pieces will be available for less than $20–affordable considering the hefty price tag that most collectible pieces carry.

The SOMA Bad Art Gallery event opens at Satellite 66 Gallery starting August 9 and continues August 10, 16, 17, from 5 pm to 12 am. Admission is free and the event will also feature a different live DJ spinning each night.
