Mastering the Art of Chai
Chai, the sweet mixed spice tea beverage, has been growing in popularity throughout the Bay Area for years. It’s become so sought-after that Paawan Kothari quit her day job as a high tech marketing strategist and started The Chai Cart in 2009. On August 9, Paawan will be hosting a special class entitled The Art of Chai, set in beautiful Golden Gate Park.
Join Paawan for a deep dive into the history of chai, including cultural roots and preparation. Attendees will learn how to brew the perfect cup of chai and will enjoy a sampling of Masala Chai, Rose Chai and various traditional street snacks, plus everyone will receive a loose leaf blend to create chai at home.
Tickets are available online for $35, which includes admission to the Conservatory of Flowers galleries.
