The Bridge Theatre 73rd Anniversary Tonight

Tonight, San Francisco’s The Bridge Theatre will celebrate it’s 73rd Anniversary like it’s 1939.

Named after the city’s Golden Gate Bridge, the single screen theatre — a rarity these days — will be showing the James Stewart starring, Franc Capra directed classic Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, which premiered the same year as The Bridge in 1939. Period shorts will also screen before the film and there will be a multimedia show during the intermission. But the vintage vibe doesn’t end there. The price of admission is also rolling back to the 1939 price of 30 cents. Yup, that’s 30 cents.  So bask in some San Francisco history, enjoy a great film and have a swell time.
