Band of Horses to Release New Album This Fall

Its official – the Grammy nominated, American indie-rock group Band of Horses has announced that their latest album, Mirage Rock, will be released on September 18th via Columbia Records.

This is the band’s fourth and most prestigious release yet, produced by Glyn Johns, the industry mogul who’s worked with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame bands like The Beatles, Emmylou Harris, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan.  Band of Horses has already released a stream of the album’s first single, “Knock Knock”, a four minute long, upbeat track with Southern rock elements.

The news gets better. Fans of Band of Horses will also be pleased to find that if they pre-order the album on iTunes now, they will instantly get access to “Ego Nightmare”, a brand new track which isn’t available on the full album. Following the release of Mirage Rock on September 18th, Band of Horses will embark on a multi-national tour alongside My Morning Jacket. A San Francisco stop on the tour has yet to be announced.
