Jam Tasting Tonight

Tonight only, from 5-7PM, Pot + Pantry (593 Guerrero Street) in the Mission is launching their very own Community Food Hub. To celebrate they’re having a tasting of fresh bread, pickles and jam.

Community Food Hubs allow you to pre-order local goods and pick them all from a single location. Coffee, fresh produce, cooked meals, sundries can be purchased at Pot + Pantry, ready and waiting.

Tonight they’ll feature the fine flavors of Luke’s Local and some delectable gluten-free baked foods from Srsly’s. Pickles and jams will be provided by none other than Emmy’s Pickles & Jams. If all this fare doesn’t sound enticing enough to you, did I mention that it is free? Well that should certainly make it a little bit more delicious. In all seriousness, these vendors are some of the hottest names in the city right now so you won’t want to miss out on all the excitement.

Luke’s Local bills itself as a fram fresh grocer. Famous for their curated boxes of organic produce and ready-to-eat meals, they are a distinctly San Franciscan mix between a CSA, personal catering and an artisan food shop. They’ve had all sorts of chefs from throughout the Bay prepare meals for them recently, so you never know who might pop up this evening.

Emmy’s Pickles & Jams uses all organic, local produce–such as seasonal fruits and vegetables–to create some of the most mouth-watering preserves you can imagine. As they say, they have a ‘passion for preservation’ and are all about promoting sustainable consumption. Be sure to stop by Pot + Pantry tonight for a taste of all the action. Helpful tip: the blood orange marmalade is heaven in a jar.
