News: Young Adults Label Launch

This month, label head of LA-based Friends of Friends, Leeor Brown, and friend, David Fisher, launch their Young Adults imprint. Since 2009, Friends of Friends has been a key player in supporting the beat and bass centric music scenes that are popular in California, with releases from Shlohmo, Salva, and, most recently, Tomas Barfod’s unique Salton Sea. As Young Adults the DJ duo, Brown and Fisher spin house, and intend for the sister label to carry out releases that lean more toward these and disco sounds.

The first release will be a compilation simply titled YA-001 and will feature Suzanne Kraft, LOL Boys, Grown Folk, and Urulu.

The vinyl release is set for Tuesday, June 19, with the digital download becoming available 4 to 6 weeks later. In the meantime, you can hear a couple of the tracks in the recent Young Adults mix on their Soundcloud below.
