Camino Has Fun with Kebabs

Oakland restaurant Camino was featured in our series on Oakland restaurants. Chef/owner Russell Moore likes to have fun in the kitchen and be inventive with his menu. That includes the recent introduction of Kebab Mondays.

The restaurant normally has a themed dinner series on Mondays throughout the year and Moore introduced the kebab dinners as a fun way to use his beautiful fireplace in a different way. The kebab dinner is a three course menu, usually featuring two dishes and a dessert. Depending on the kebab, the dinner will range from $30-40

A sample menu for Monday, June 11:

Sheepsmilk ricotta-scallion frittata with grilled zucchini and carrot salad

Grilled duck breast kebab and duck-brisket kofte kebab with English peas, lentils, grilled new onions, yogurt and flatbread

Almond-rosewater meringue with hibiscus granita and strawberries

The menu usually changes each week featuring many great, fresh ingredients that Chef Moore is known for using.

Camino is located at 3917 Grand Avenue in Oakland. The restaurant is open form 5:30-10:00 p.m. on Mondays.
