Celebrate Golden Gate Bridge's 75th Anniversary in Style

On Sunday May 27, 2012 the city celebrates the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th Anniversary. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to flock the waterfront, to participate in the day long festivities along Crissy Field and the Marina Green, culminating with a fireworks display from 9:30 to 10 pm. But instead of waiting in long lines to buy junk food like corn dogs, and the myriad of festival foods available. A better idea would be to have dinner at a nearby restaurant. Two restaurants with views of each end of the bridge, have dinner parties that promise a memorable experience.

Greens Restaurant is offering a special anniversary dinner featuring an exquisite vegetarian menu prepared by Executive Chef Annie Somerville. The first dinner seating starts from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm, with an a la carte menu. Reservations are required for the 7:30 pm seating that features a special 4 course prix fixe menu for $75, price excludes beverages, tax, and gratuity. Then at 9:30 pm, all prix fixe dinner guests will get exclusive view of the fireworks from the restaurant.

Cavallo Point in Sausalito, is offering a gourmet barbecue buffet for $75 by Executive Chef Justin Everett. Then enjoy live music by the Peter Meredeth Trio outdoors on their Callippe Terrace, while watching the stunning fireworks display over the bay.
