A Berkeley Restaurant Reborn

Skates on the Bay, the historic waterfront restaurant overlooking the Berkeley Marina, will be a brand new restaurant for longtime customers following a major recent design renovation.

Already known for having one of the most spectacular views of the Bay, the interior now features a huge raw bar and private dining room as well. The menu has also undergone an overhaul, with several new dishes including a Bloody Mary Fresh Oyster Shooter, Hamachi Sashimi and other options from the raw bar, a Filet Medallion Oscar-Style and their very own Bloody Mary bar for the weekend brunch crowd.

Offering up lunch, brunch and dinner, this is the first redesign for the restaurant in 17 years. The new menu is Pacific-driven, mainly focusing on fresh seafood and classic American dishes. The fish and oyster selection at the raw bar is expected to change daily by what’s in season and fresh at the markets.

Skates on the Bay is located at 100 Seawall Drive in Berkeley. The restaurant is open Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m., Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
