Taco Conference

Some people have tech conferences. Some have conferences around social issues. And now there is a conference around…tacos, which will combine tech, culture and food in a two-day mobile symposium.

Describing itself as “a conference based on bicycles and tacos”, TacoConf will be a roaming event focusing on Oakland (day 1) and San Francicso (day 2). You can follow the group via Twitter as they take to the streets searching for the best tacos either city has to offer.

And while attendees are stuffing their faces full of refried beans/ground beef and salsa, they will be listening to “talks about food, culture and technology” from folks like Aaron Quint, the CTO of Paperless Post; Philip N., co-founder @LocalWiki; K. Tighe, founder & editor-in-chief at Poor Taste Media; and Eric Fischer, a self-described “geek of maps”.
