Lollapalooza Lineup Leaked, Clues for Outside Lands?

The official website for Lollapalooza 2012 has not yet been updated, but the Chicago Tribune is reporting that festival organizers will announce Wednesday that 70s heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Keys and Jack White will headline the Chicago event, August 3-5.

In typical Lollapalooza fashion, the complete lineup blends genres over three days in Chicago’s Grant Park, but it could provide a few clues for bands on the festival circuit that could be included in the Outside Lands 2012 lineup announcement later this month. Expect to see Jack White in Golden Gate Park this August after he tours Japan in late July, and Santigold, Justice and up-and-comers FIDLAR would also be great additions. It would be nice to see a complete change of pace from the granola-friendly lineup last year with Black Sabbath and local favorites Metallica topping the bill, but I’m guessing we’re more likely to see The Boss than bat-shit crazy Ozzy. It’s anyone’s guess at this point. Who would you like to see?
