A fundraiser to support the completion of the Truth is Beauty project and the re-election campaign of Alex Rosenthal to the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee in June 2012 happens Friday, April 6, at Project One starting at 7pm.

Truth is Beauty is a sculpture by Marco Cochrane and the Bliss Dance Crew that’s been a work in process since 2011. When complete, the nude sculpture made of stainless steel mesh will be 55 feet tall and lit from the inside and outside by 1,000 LED lights.

For the event, Marco Cochrane will be live sculpting and there will also be musical performances from Space Cowboys and Brass Tax.
