Easter Sunday Means Dining Specials Galore In SF

Easter Sunday is not only about the Easter Bunny and a hunt for eggs; for many families, it includes getting together for brunch or dinner. Here are a few spots in San Francisco with specials this year.

Boxing Room: Executive Chef Justin Simoneaux is offering up some Southern comfort food with a menu that includes a special Cane Syrup Glazed Ham, Cajun Boiled Peanuts, Louisiana Shrimp Remoulade and Grillades and Grits. Open on Sunday for brunch from 11-3. Boxing Room is located at 399 Grove Street.

Foreign Cinema: Always one of the favorite brunch spots for many San Franciscans, chef-owners Gayle Pirie and John Clarke are offering a special three-course Easter menu, with dishes including Morning Crostini, Friday Hama Hama Oysters, Duck Mousse Crostini, Dungeness Crab Sandwich, Steak Frites and Sunny Side Comfort. Foreign Cinema is located at 2534 Mission Street.

Absinthe Brasserie & Bar: Along with the normal popular brunch items, executive chef Adam Keough is offering an Easter Special, an Atkins Ranch Lamb Breast with brioche-dried fruit stuffing, root vegetables and garlic-lamb jus. Absinthe is located at 398 Hayes Street.

Top of the Mark: The iconic Top of the Mark lounge at the International Mark Hopkins will not only be offering brunch, but the Easter Bunny will be on site and will be offering the lucky winner of a contest a four-person brunch. The Easter menu features Roasted Prime Rib Beef au Jus, Spice-Rubbed Roasted Chicken, Smoked Fish and plenty of desserts as well. Brunch is $99 per person, $59 for children, excluding tax and gratuity. Top of the Mark is located on the 19th floor of the International Mark Hopkins at 999 California Street.

Luce: Located at the InterContinental San Francisco, Luce Chef de Cuisine Daniel Corey is offering a buffet brunch with special holiday dishes such as Herbed Goat Cheese Frittata, Mediterranean Sea Bass and Chicken Apple Sausage. Brunch will be held from 11-2:30 and costs $39 for adults, $18 for children, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Luce is located in the InterContinental San Francisco at 888 Howard Street.

Presidio Social Club: Located in Presidio National Park, the Presidio Social Club has a special Easter brunch menu featuring Rum-Soaked Challah French Toast, Mission-Style Chilaquiles and favorites such as a Pork Porterhouse and Monterey Sardines. Presidio Social Club is located at 563 Ruger Street.

LarkCreek Steak: Located in the Westfield Shopping Centre, LarkCreek Steak is offering a special Easter menu including a 12 oz. Hampshire Pork Chop, fresh fish (Pan-Seared Petrale Sole) and a non-meat entrée (English Pea Risotto). LarkCreek Steak will be open from 12-7 for both lunch and dinner on Easter. The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Westfield San Francisco Centre between Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.

There are plenty of other options as well.  It is best to check ahead with the restaurant to make sure they have available spots on Sunday.
