The beloved music of Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda, which millions of bleary-eyed gamers can probably still hum on command, comes to San Francisco as The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Tour featuring a live orchestral performance.

Composed by musician Koji Kondo, who also created the music for the original Super Mario Bros., the theme music played a vital role in creating the atmosphere of Zelda and enhancing countless players’ overall enjoyment of the epic quest.

The playing of musical instruments also figured into the original gameplay, being the key sometimes to the solving of puzzles.

Eímear Noone will conduct the full orchestra with arrangements by music director Chad Seiter. Classic storylines to be recounted will include: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time™, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker™, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess™, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past™. Other orchestral renditions that will be included in the performance are The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening™ and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask™.

The concert comes to San Francisco on March 28, 2012 at Davies Symphony Hall and begins at 8pm.
