New Desserts Truck: SF Delights

A brand new gourmet desserts truck is tantalizing the sweet tooth of street food fans.

Finding a group of people gathering in front of what looks like an ambulance, would make anyone assume that this was the scene of an accident or an emergency case. But taking a closer look, you’ll notice the big smiles of people digging into dessert cups or holding little plates with pastries. That’s the scene around the latest mobile dessert van, SF Delights. The chef is a recent graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu’s Baking and Pastry Arts Program.

All their gourmet sweet treats are priced under five bucks. The repertoire includes: crumble tea tart, apple cranberry crisp (pictured below), green tea creme brulee, ricotta cheesecake, pineapple trifle, coconut panna cotta, coconut cupcake, banana cupcake, Thai tea cupcake, Thai coffee tiramisu, mixed fruit bread pudding, crumble lychee mousse, and their latest creation the bacon bread pudding with BBQ sauce. That last one sounds intriguing.

In addition to lunch time roaming around the downtown area and SOMA’s Gift Center & Jewelry Mart. Every week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 7:30 to 11:30 pm, the truck parks at 16th and Hoff streets. Just around the corner on the block next to the BART 16th Street Station. Follow them on Twitter or Facebook for location updates, or call them at 1.415.513.7787 for any catering requests.
