Here in America, St. Patrick’s Day may mainly be known for copious amounts of alcohol consumption than anything else. But it’s also a celebration of Irish culture and, yes, its food. Instead of the usual shenanigans, try this walking tour exploring the science and craft behind Irish bread and cheese.
Run by Discovery Street Tours, “The Science of Bread and Cheese” tour will focus mainly on the country’s various cheeses as well as its bread-making. As the organizers state, “What better way for a foodie to spend St. Patrick’s Day than walking through scenic San Francisco neighborhoods and taking in the glories of the Emerald Isle’s famous cheeses?”
