Woodsist Records and folkYEAH! productions have announced the lineup and dates for the third annual Woodsist Festival. The two-day music event is returning to Henry Miller Library in beautiful Big Sur, August 4-5.
The Woodsist Festival offers favorites from Woodsist Record label that are returning to the festival, as well as a handful of other talented bands. All bands on the lineup fit into the Woodsist style of music, which ranges from chill indie rock bands like Woods and Real Estate to upbeat psychedelic-influenced garage rock like Thee Oh Sees. Others among the lineup are White Fence, Pierced Arrows, Michael Hurley and The Fresh and Onlys, with other bands expected to be announced as the festival date approaches.
As larger music festivals have grown very popular in recent years, turning away some music fans leery of big crowds, The Woodsist Festival stands out because of it’s relatively intimate size. It is also special because it offers the unique opportunity to experience live music in the breathtaking natural setting beneath the redwood forest. The festival ticket does not include lodging, but number of suggested nearby options including campsites and hotels are available on the Woodsist website.
The Woodsist Festival takes place on August 4-5 at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur. Two-day tickets are $77.
