SPARC in association with Grown Kids Radio brings you a brand new series of live music every fourth Friday of the month. A perfect start to kick off your weekend, this event will feature some of the Bay Area’s emerging musicians, visual artists, and food businesses. This evening, they present socially-conscious MC Mr. Lif.
Releasing his first single “Elektro” in 1998, Mr. Lif attracted labels like Grand Royale and Definitive Jux. Shying away from the typical Top 40 hip-hop genre, his lyrics touch on subjects pertinent to the world’s political and economic happenings. Along with his sounds, they will also be featuring Burgorgi Burger, a juicy beef patty topped harmoniously with savory and slightly crisp bulgogi, a perfectly fried egg, refreshing kimchi, and homemade spicy aioli!
SPARCSF is located on 1256 Mission Street (between 8th and 9th Street). This event takes place Friday, February 24th, 2011 from 7 to 10pm, and is open those 18 and over.
