Gallery Events: Sketch Tuesdays’ Museum Edition, Frank Schott & More

This week’s best gallery events include a special Sketch Tuesdays, Frank Schott bike photography, and Chance James’ first solo show in SF.

Sketch Tuesdays is actually this Wednesday at 111 Minna. The day isn’t the only thing that’s different this month — it’s also the first ever Sketch Tuesdays: Museum Lineup, featuring live art (made and sold on the spot) by local artists/museum employees. It will also be your last chance to see the February show, Harum Scarum.

Photographer Frank Schott presents his new show, Alpine Road, this Thursday at the Rapha Cycle Club. The exhibit displays stark mountain passes and seemingly empty, beautiful roads that, no doubt, will be added to your “To Ride” list.

Also this Thursday, Fresno artist and photographer, Chance James, presents his first SF solo show, Into the Darkness, at Misho Gallery. James describes his paintings as a “process of understanding”, creating something honest and capturing moments, the way he sees and feels them.
