Hops & Hominy Springs Near Union Square

Hops & Hominy opens for business today Monday, January 30 at 1 Tillman Place, on a hidden alley just steps from Union Square. Reservations are available for lunch and dinner on OpenTable.

This new restaurant follows the southern trend of last year’s crop of new places like Boxing Room, Criolla Kitchen, Cedar Hill, and Southpaw. The rustic interior decor with exposed bricks and reclaimed wood feels cozy and welcoming. Outdoor dining along the alleyway will be available on sunny days.

Lunch features sandwiches and flatbreads. The most notable item being an alligator po boy on a baguette. The rest of the menu boasts black eye pea fritters, cornmeal fried oysters, a signature H&H burger made with 85% beef chuck and 15% sirloin, baked mac ‘n cheese with house cured bacon, BBQ pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, braised rabbit tortellini, etc.

Quench your thirst with American craft brewed micro beers, cocktails and a nice selection of local wines and spirits. Hours: lunch daily 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, dinner on Sunday – Thursday 5 to 11 pm, and Friday – Saturday 5 pm to midnight.
