London born soul singer Michael Kiwanuka is turning heads left and right, and he hasn’t even released a full-length album yet.

Born to working-class Ugandan immigrants, Kiwanuka focused his efforts on making killer sounds for his UK fan base. But after two astounding EPs released in 2011, he gained the attention of soul starlet Adele, who handpicked him to open a bunch of stops on her recent world tour, some of which were canceled due to vocal-cord issues.

Consequently, this was Kiwanuka’s first appearance in the U.S., performing for sold out crowds in New York and Los Angeles. His February UK tour sold out in record time, so we’ve got our eyes on him and hoping he decides to play for us again.

In the meantime though, check out the tracks from his 2012 EP, entitled Home Again, and get ready for his first full-length album to be released sometime in March.
