Bob Mould, Flaming Lips Added to Noise Pop 2012

To celebrate Noise Pop’s twentieth anniversary, the festival has announced intimate shows with Bob Mould and the Flaming Lips performing classic albums.

This year Noise Pop is turning 20, and the festival recently announced additional shows by the Flaming Lips and Bob Mould. These shows will take place at small intimate venues in the city while the artists perform classic albums in their entirety.

The Flaming Lips will perform their 1999 album The Soft Bulletin at Bimbo’s 365, while Bob Mould will play the entirety of his band Sugar’s 1992 debut Copper Blue at Bottom of the Hill. This will be the first time Copper Blue has been played all the way through in a live setting.

Tickets for Mould’s show are already sold out, however Flaming Lips tickets go on sale this Sunday (January 15th) at 10:00 am PST.
